Can I replace a lost or damaged library item?

I lost or damaged an item I checked out from the LRC. What happens next?

Answer

If you've lost, damaged, or destroyed an item you borrowed from the LRC (for example a book or charger) you may voluntarily give the LRC the same item purchased from a commercial source.

This process is considered "restitution" and is not considered a gift or donation.
